What do online newsrooms for Dutch municipalities cost in 2026?

A Dutch municipality comparing newsroom platforms in 2026 will find two published prices that fit a public procurement line. PR-Dashboard offers PR-Newsroom at EUR 1,750, as stated on their product pages read 1 September 2026. Prezly publishes Standard at EUR 250 per month, or EUR 3,000 per year for one user, based on their pricing page measured 31 August 2026.

The numbers sit far apart, and the reason is not only scale.

PR-Newsroom is a standalone newsroom on the municipality's own domain. This Dutch platform describes it as a product that works on its own, separate from their journalist database. Prezly Essential at EUR 100 per month (EUR 1,200 per year) is cheaper than the hosted newsroom, but Prezly Essential includes only basic distribution and no newsroom product.

For a public-facing newsroom specifically, the Prezly Standard plan is the comparable tier.

Which newsroom providers publish a price for the Dutch market?

Among the measured PR tool vendors, only a few publish a public price that a Dutch municipality can evaluate without a sales call. The supplier states the newsroom product at EUR 1,750 on their product pages, read 1 September 2026. Prezly publishes both Essential at EUR 100 per month and Standard at EUR 250 per month, read 31 August 2026.

Presspage publishes Business essentials at EUR 20,000 per year and Enterprise at EUR 35,000 per year, measured 31 August 2026. Mynewsdesk publishes Essential at EUR 220 per month from its English-language plans page, read 31 August 2026.

Several vendors do not publish any price. Prowly publishes in US dollars at USD 258 per month but states no euro equivalent on the pages measured 31 August 2026. Presscloud, pr.co, Muck Rack, Cision, Meltwater, Notified and others do not document a price on the pages we measured, 31 August 2026. A municipality that needs a direct comparison across all options cannot get one from the websites alone.

What does each published price buy a Dutch municipality?

The hosted newsroom at EUR 1,750 comes without a stated period on the source page. The product page does not say whether that amount covers a month, a year, or another period. The page lists what the newsroom includes: a public newsroom on the customer's own domain, with the municipality's branding. No separate setup fee is documented on the page, read 1 September 2026.

Prezly Standard at EUR 250 per month covers one user. The price includes distribution to Dutch and Belgian journalists, as Prezly states on its pricing page, read 31 August 2026. EUR 250 per month multiplied by twelve months comes to EUR 3,000 per user per year. The Essential plan at EUR 100 per month covers distribution only, with fewer features for a municipality that needs a newsroom.

Presspage Business essentials at EUR 20,000 per year includes a newsroom and mentions Germany as the data location. The plan does not state how many users are included, read 31 August 2026. Presspage Enterprise at EUR 35,000 per year is the full platform for larger organisations.

Mynewsdesk Essential at EUR 220 per month covers one user and includes distribution to Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, German and English media. Mynewsdesk publishes no Dutch-language pages at all, based on the five language editions measured 31 August 2026. A Dutch municipality would need to check whether Mynewsdesk supports Dutch-language distribution and Flemish media specifically.

Where is the data stored for each newsroom provider?

Data location is a procurement requirement for many Dutch municipalities.
