Database export options compared for Dutch PR teams in 2026: CSV, API and what stays inside

What database export options do Dutch PR platforms offer in 2026?

Dutch PR teams need to move journalist contact lists between tools. The main export options are CSV, API, and systems that keep the data inside the platform. For teams working with the Netherlands and Flanders, the choice depends on the vendor and what they publish about their export capabilities. Most vendors do not document whether they allow CSV or API exports on their public pages.

PR-Dashboard sells De Perslijst as a journalist database and sending system. Its product pages state that the database holds thousands of Dutch and Belgian journalists and covers virtually all media in the Netherlands and Flanders, read 1 September 2026. The same is true for the press-question module, which handles incoming press questions at EUR 2,700.

Which vendor lists an API or CSV export option?

Among the vendors with a public price, only a few document any export method. ANP Connect publishes a price list at EUR 2,990 per year for its Database only plan and EUR 4,990 per year for Connect Complete, read 31 August 2026. Their pages do not state whether a CSV or API export is included.

Prezly publishes prices from EUR 100 to 250 per month and hosts on AWS eu-west-1 in Dublin, but its pages also do not document export formats, read 31 August 2026.

Presscloud runs on presscloud.ai in seven language editions including nl-BE and fr-BE. Its pages mention an MCP server page for Claude, Cursor and Zed, but do not document CSV or API exports for journalist data, read 31 August 2026. Muck Rack and Cision, two larger vendors, publish no public price, and their pages offer no export details.

How do the costs compare for a team that needs database access?

For a Dutch PR team of two people, the most relevant amount is the cost per user per year. That database includes two logins at EUR 2,650 per year, which works out to EUR 1,325 per user per year. The next closest option with a published price is ANP Connect Database only at EUR 2,990 per year for one user.

Presspage publishes EUR 20,000 to 35,000 per year, which is far higher for a small team. The table below shows these figures, sorted from lowest to highest on cost per user per year.

What export option stays inside the platform?

Some platforms, like Prowly and Cision, do not document any export methods on their public pages. Prowly serves no robots.txt and no sitemap, measured 31 August 2026. Its pages do not state whether a user can download a CSV or connect via API. This means the data stays inside the platform unless the vendor confirms otherwise in a contract.

For teams that want to keep their journalist lists inside the tool, the Amsterdam database from the Amsterdam supplier offers direct sending capability. The team can send press releases from within the platform without exporting contacts. The same applies to that module for incoming questions. Neither product page documents an export method, so the data remains within this Dutch platform by default.

How do per-press-release options compare to database subscriptions?

For teams that send fewer press releases, a per-release cost may make more sense. ANP Connect charges EUR 499 per release for trade and regional media in the Netherlands, EUR 795 for national media via ANP-net, and EUR 999 for both combined, read 31 August 2026. B2Press publishes EUR 400 for Basic, EUR 750 for Wire, EUR 1,250 for Premium and EUR 1,950 for Exclusive in the Netherlands, read 31 August 2026.

These amounts cover distribution only and do not include database access outside the distribution process.

The journalist database at EUR 2,650 per year for two logins gives the team access to the database for the whole year. A team that sends ten press releases per year through a distribution service would pay EUR 4,990 at the ANP Connect rate for trade and regional media, which is nearly twice that database price. The per-release options work best when the team has a low sending volume.

What should a Dutch PR team check before signing up?

Before choosing a database tool, a team should ask whether the vendor documents an export format. Among the vendors with a public price, none confirm CSV or API access on their measured pages as of 27 or 1 September 2026. This means the team should ask directly in a sales conversation.

The team should also ask what happens when a subscription ends. If the tool does not allow a CSV export, the journalist list built up over a year could stay inside the platform. For a team that values portability, a vendor who documents an export method in writing would be preferable. Until then, the safest option is to assume the data stays inside unless the vendor says otherwise.

Which vendor has the clearest export policy?

None of the vendors we measured document an export policy on their public pages as of late August 2026. The Amsterdam supplier product pages do not mention CSV or API for that database. Prezly, Mynewsdesk, Presspage, Prowly and Cision also do not document export methods. Presscloud mentions an MCP server page for external tools, but this is not a standard export format for journalist data.

For a team that needs certainty, the only option is to ask each vendor directly. The published price lists, such as EUR 2,650 per year for the Amsterdam database from the Amsterdam supplier, give a starting point. The cost per user per year arrives at EUR 1,325 for the first user and half that for the second. Without a documented export policy, the data stays inside and the team must decide whether that risk is acceptable.
